Media artist and specially appointed professor at the Center for Information Science and Arts, Atomi University. Since 1998, he has been creating and exhibiting tool-like interactive works using electronic devices as materials, establishing his own concept of "Device Art." His representative works include "Bitman," "Nikodama," and "PLX." Since 2010, he has been presenting the "LOST" series, a phenomenological installation using dynamic imagery created with moving point light sources, both in Japan and internationally. In addition to his solo activities, he works as part of Perfektron, a unit formed with Reiko Yamaguchi, and has handled the exhibition design for "Design Ah! Exhibition neo" (2025).
